Patriotic Quilt Contest


In celebration of America's 250th Birthday the Warren County Historical Society and the Warren County Fair is having a patriotic quilt contest at the Warren County Fair in 2026.

Quilted item preferred size 45"x45" (But all patriotic entries will be accepted). Must only use patriotic colors red, white & blue. Follow the rules and regulations printed in the Warren County Fair Premium Book.

Premiums are 1st $250, 2nd $100, 3rd $75, 4th $50, 5th $25

Decorated Bale Contest

Open to: Any family (one entry per residence) in Warren County Fair Area. Open to groups (one entry per group), either junior or adult. Open to businesses (one entry per business).

Rules:

Bales must be registered with the Fair no later than July 1, 2026.

Any size of round or square bales of straw or hay may be used. Wrapped, painted or natural bales may be used.

Display must be on private property or land owned by the group and 10 feet away from fence line.

Bale(s) to be decorated to represent something you would see at the Fair (i.e., fruit, vegetable, animals, etc.) or our 2026 theme to be announced.

Bale to be accompanied by a sign clearly stating “See You at the Warren County Fair, August 10-15.” SIGN MUST BE VISABLE FROM THE ROAD.

Display must be in place July 11 – August 16. The committee will judge entries on site.

All entries will receive an 8X10 inch picture to be displayed at the Fair in the back of the Stone Building (red).

Decorated Cookie Contest

The Daughters of the American Revolution are having a Cookie Decorating Contest for pre-teen & teen (ages 19 & under) to celebrate America's 250th Birthday during the Warren County Fair in 2026.

PRE-TEEN AND TEEN ONLY

One Large Cookie decorated in patriotic colors and no larger than 10". Follow the rules and regulations printed in the Warren County Fair premium Book. Any questions email information@warrencountyfair.net

Crocheted or Knitted Scene

Size limit 2’ X 2’

Scenes will be displayed on a table. Examples: Aquarium, Nativity, etc.

On entry day, take the item to the Red Still Exhibit Building. For more information, call 814-730-8336

Painted Rock

One entry per exhibitor. Rock size must not exceed 4” length x 4” width x 2” high. River rocks can be used since they are smooth and work best for painting. Colored pencils, oil pastels, chalk, acrylic paint, or Posca paint pens can be used to make the design, and the rocks can be painted prior to making the design. Nothing can be added to the rock that is non-biodegradable, such as stickers, gems, or decoupage. After painting, seal the rocks with clear spray paint, gloss, or matte. Painted rocks will be judged on visual appearance and creativity. For all ages – pre-teen, teen, adult. Take Painted Rocks to the Sewing Department in the back of the Stone Building (red) to enter. Impromptu

Photo Contest

We want to see your best photo that captures the 2026 Warren County Fair!

**Pictures must be taken at the Warren County Fair during fair week 2026.

Pictures will be judged on what best captures (appropriate /family friendly) the Warren County Fair.

**Only one entry per person.

**Pictures are to be 4 x 6 only. Please do not mat or frame your picture. **There will be two categories: Youth (age 18 and under) and Adult (age 19 and over). **Please take your picture to the blue building by 10:00 p.m. Friday. The photo contest is located on the left side of the blue building, and as you are looking at the shelves, the photo contest will be to the right. Instructions will be posted on the white pegboard. Winners will be announced Saturday morning.

**First place in youth and adult will receive one free ticket to the 2026 Fair and a ribbon.

2nd through 5th places will receive a ribbon.

250 America

The goal is to celebrate America's 250th Birthday and depict the theme “America 250” in your entry. It can be anything associated with America and using the colors red, white & blue. Participating categories are located in Departments 11 Youth, 15, 17, 18, 19, including cupcakes, cookies, cakes, floral, needlework, sewing, painting or drawing, and crafts. More information will be in 2026 Premium Book. All America 250 entries will be displayed together and not in the departments in which they were entered.

Fairy Garden

A Fairy Garden is a miniature landscape where a tiny fairy could dwell. It may include miniature pathways, dwellings, furniture, etc., and must contain soil, real flowers, and plants in a low-sided, shallow, waterproof container (no artificial/silk flowers/plants).

The length or diameter of the container should be NO bigger than 18” and NO higher than 12”.

Take Fairy Gardens to the Sewing Department in the back of the Stone Building (red) to enter. Do not take Fairy Gardens to the Floral Department. More information will be in the premium book, which will be available in June.

Decorated Christmas Tree

Christmas trees must be artificial and 3 to 4 feet high with no lights (Do not include electric or battery-operated lights on the tree.) Trees may be displayed on the floor. Take Christmas Trees to the Sewing Department in the back of the Stone Building (red) to enter. More information will be in the premium book, which will be available in June.
