Slim’s Scale House

SLIM’S SCALE HOUSE was built approximately 40 years ago by David Turner in honor of Slim Bailey, a former partner and mentor. It was constructed as a cover for the enclosed scales for weighing Draft Horses and Tractors for the many different pulls and events where weight was a way that classes were made. It has been a valuable part of the Fair and was used for weighing tractors as recently as 2023 when electronic scales failed to perform adequately in those contests. C&S Turner Enterprises still maintains it in honor and memory of Slim Bailey and David Turner.
